Discipleship in Community
Following a community rule of life, developing holy habits, meeting in Bible study 'pods' and developing spiritual gifts are some of the ways we encourage discipleship in our daily lives.

The Crossnet Community Rule
of Life
Members of Crossnet commit to belonging to our community to support each other in becoming better disciples of Jesus. Our focus is to collectively embrace a rule of life, reflecting the values of traditional monastic orders like St Benedict’s Rule.
The five articles of our rule of life are that together, and with God’s help, we:
-
Seek to obey the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
-
Set aside time each day for prayer, worship, and reading of Scripture.
-
Seek to be a blessing to those around us, demonstrating love for one another, and working for justice and truthfulness in our relationships.
-
Seek to share our faith with those around us, in word and deed, and to pray for those who do not yet know Jesus.
-
Seek to understand how God is making us more like Jesus in every circumstance of life.
Developing Holy Habits
'Holy habits' refers to practices that shape our thoughts, feelings, and actions, enabling us to engage with God's transforming power to reflect Jesus' life. Alongside our community promises, we encourage growth in specific Holy Habits.
We practice holy habits for the fruit that they will bear in our lives.
